andy s410c 63
Well did,nt get off to the farm till past midday, absolutely pi ng down at home so up in Weardale it would have been a monsoon i thought to meself.Arrived at the top quarry 1pm'ish greeted to a fresh breeze & bright sky Got my kit sorted & proceeded to my usual sniping spot...no chance, stinging nettles carpeting the whole bank so i ventured into the bottom of the quarry & took up position in a drywall sheep shelter accompanied by billions of midges anyway managed to bag two from there after a hour of being bit to death I then clambered up to the top of the quarry to have a mooch around the small woods on the way there i bagged one & then i got meself into the woods i stalked round the perimeter & bagged one from there.Entering the wood i decided to have a look close to the watering hole which normally has a couple of moorhens on, i only have a look i don't shoot however as i appeared over the edge no moorhens, the choice was a rabbit or woodie so i baggged the woodie at no more than 5yds i could'nt get a parrallax free view so i lined the old eyeball up with the side of the barrel.Body shot connects home, woodie DONE i decided to call it a day then as i had enough fert food & the midges were getting right on top. Took a photo so you can see some of my shoot... Quote Link to post
