a big supporter of all fieldsports is marco pierre white  he does a lot of deer stalking ,pike fishing and general shooting, a long with hugh fearnley-whittingstall who lamps, shoots and fishes and jamie oliver who does a lot of fieldsports as well. i think the tide is turning in our favour :clapper: seasonal game dishes are sold and are the best sellers in there out lets and their customers are more interested in how they are caught, we need these high profile chefs to stand in our corner and tell the public how it really is  the press and TV coverage that weve had in the last 6/7 years has been a great improvement a lot of it has been down to HFW as he seems to have set a trend that other chefs have followed and now the the infamous gordon ramsey hunting boar/ferreting/ deer stalking / fishing etc and taking his son to expeirence it as well its looking good. still lots of work to be done though :thumbs:Hopefully high veiwing figures for these programmes and the heads of the TV channels will bank roll more of the same good luck trader :drink:

As a bit of an aside, its great to see TV chefs showing an active interest in using field sports to provide food. Don't know about the rest of you but i feel a strong sense of honesty when i catch/shoot someting for the table. The prepartion (e.g. gutting, filleting/jointing etc) then eating. Not all of my meat comes from a cellaphane wrapped package in Tesco's!
