That mass produced chocolate cake rings a bell with pink custard, Angel Delight was another one.

Lamb Twizzlers too, made me ill one day never touched them ever again.

Seem to remember most of it was terrible for you, i must have been in the middle of traditional school dinners in the 50's. 60's and 70's and the real bad stuff of the 80's and 90's.

What about milkshake & biscuit for pudding, did anybody else used to get them?

they used to give us milk in a plastic cup and one of those finger biscuits,i used to look forward to them as the main meals were no gastronomic delights by any means, chips were like slugs and if you didnt eat them the dinner lady would kindly make you, which was nice of her.old cow

In primary school we were fed some right, rank shit! What was that grated cheese like stuff in the mashed spud???

Most days it was a case of escape and evasion excersise with the filth on ye plate. Trying to hide one vile thing beneath another and hoping to god they'd let ye leave 'That bit.' One of the teachers even used to pity us and gently urge us to; " Come on, kids. Eat ye Kennomeat :( "

Secondary school? A whole new world opened up! We'd be Desperate to get in there and get stuck in! F*ckin lovely grub! I could go a couple of plates right now, actually! F*ckin hungry, as usual!
