Seriously, I don't think  most Ukrainians could care less whether their hometown is called Russia or Ukraine. New boss same as the old boss.

Actually I've got an interest in this conflict. My nephew had an Israeli partner. She suddenly left him over the Christmas period and took his dog back with her to Israel.

With all this bombing we are all very worried about the dog.

It was a joke. As in humour? Piss taking? Not serious? Ironic? Too daft to be a genuine opinion? I don't really have a military solutions employment  agency.  And I don't have any vacancies. Besides,I don't have any uniforms to fit you.

I haven't read the dictionary definition and assume you would be right, but would still disagree. The Gurkhas have 100's of years of tradition and battle honours as part of the British army. I would not define them as mercenaries, but probably are re dictionary definition.

I read that the statistic recently, it was broken down into deserters and draft evasion. Mostly draft evasion. About the time when our PM was being billy big bollocks re British soldiers offered up as "boots on the ground". They do not want to fight for their own country, but our PM is offering our lads. Sorry, lads and lasses, not wanting appear sexist.

The Geneva convention actually doesn't consider Gurkhas mercenaries because the Nepalese government resented the classification but taken literally a professional soldier hired to serve in a foreign army dictionary defenition is,and that's why I added dictionary defenition,a mercenary.

I met some young ghurkas at a motorway service station. I'd  better rephrase that....

So I asked a woman who the young skinhead Asian kids were. There was about 30 of them. They were all dressed impeccably in blazers and ties. She was a teacher.

They were young lads in training for the military.

A bit grandly, I thanked them for their service. Wow! What a reaction. Huge smiles and lots of head nodding and handshakes. Lovely kids.
