Fair……however, turnout was only 47% so obviously there is a whole group of people who are totally uninspired.

Now that either because they don’t care or because there isn’t anyone to inspire them…..I’m not pointing all the fingers at Reform here because I have said for years the people who betrayed Britain the most were white British people !

And for a very long time I’ve been of the opinion that, like Hitler said in the final days of the battle of Berlin, if my own people don’t want to fight to live then they deserve to die out !

But, I still think there is an untapped resource if somebody has the courage to move the conversation there….worrying yourself sick about the blue rinse brigade who got us in this shit in the first place is looking at the wrong market maybe ?

Wilf, 47% turnout is huge for a by election.
It’s the same turnout they had for the general election.

Cheers.

I think those of us on the 'right' need to realise we need to unite and think about a slightly longer game than what we normally do....to change things we are going to have to think a little bit deepe

Reform were the only “right of centre “ party on the ballot. I don’t class the Tories as right of centre , but they only got 1 1/2% of the vote. I’m assuming Tory voters moved en masse to Reform,

How are Reform splitting the vote ? The Tories lost their deposit, getting only around 1 1/2% of the votes . Even if every Tory voter had voted Reform, it still wouldn’t have been enough. Advance

but the people of the UK aren't buying it!

Then f**k em !
There’s more people than ever before ready to have these hard conversations and I believe  there’s more than ever before who who would in the privacy of the polling booth vote for a hardliner

We have been screaming it for years! That's why I can't stand for reform! I , like you, and our opinions would be politically toxic.

Toxic is where we are at !

By portraying themselves as a right wing party when it turns out they're not.

Advance got less votes than the Raving Loony Party, so I’m guessing any right wing voter who was thinking of voting for Habibs party had second thoughts and voted Reform.
Reform doubled their vote from 18 months ago.

So, far from splitting the right vote, they actually United it.

I understand you hate Farage and Reform, but what was the alternative ?

Id rather vote for a party that some think is only vaguely “Right” than not vote at all.

Im actually the same mindset as you and Wilf and would rather have a true right wing , patriotic, national party, but there wasn’t one available yesterday, so I’ll stick by the old maxim of “attainable better is preferable to unattainable perfect”, and vote for Reform until a true alternative comes along.

Cheers.

People feel  disgusted and  bitterly  betrayed by Labour. Many think correctly, that Reform is a home for yet more over_ privileged  posh boys who look after their own ( the tories mark 2), so in Denton, they thought they would try  Green.

Come the general election, Reform will get votes from disaffected working class,  anti Muslim, and anti immigrant voters, but I don't think most brits  have either  the appetite or trust to vote Reform. If they do get  in, Reform might throw a few illegals out.  And that might make people  feel a bit better, but after that it will be more of the  same as far as I can see. Or  quite possibly worse!

Most of the Green vote in the Denton constituency came from the young and educated. Something like 42% of voters in that constituency had a degree or were studying for one. So it was an unusual situation , which won't be repeated in the GE.

IMO People are desperate for some messiah ( a Mick Lynch would get my vote) who will transform broken Britain. Will  fix the NHS,  fix the borders, fix the roads, fix the plight of young people who cannot afford houses and  create worthwhile well paid jobs.... but no saviour has appeared and I don't expect one. And if one did appear, he or she would be crucified, either literally or metaphorically because a lot of people  benefit from the present status quo.

Meanwhile the UK has become the poor man of Europe, with  miserable wages, a failing NHS, third world public services and  a people with very  bad teeth. .....our American cousins are horrified and amused at the state of our teeth because NHS dentistry has virtually been withdrawn.

Voting is a choice between shit and shite. Its just an illusion. Rupert Murdoch and his mates control what people  think through their stranglehold on the media. They fill peoples' heads with  celebrity nonsense, sensational sex or violent crime stories, grovelling royal family  crap  and  made_ up health stories. All sorts of 'bad actors' create algorithms on our computers  to influence our thinking,  and of course the real big money boys ( the city) have any future chancellor by the short and curlies.  THEY decide what government  spending  and taxation will be. Bet your life, any spending  which is allowed won't be for our benefit. So  buckle up, more of the same awaits.
