The thing that's really got us pissed off is we have an area they would have been more then welcome to dump and burn all this stuff if they just asked but nope took a back trail down the property line cut a gate open and ....

Me and the missus was driving to see family other day and its mostly back roads going through little villages and the amount of rubbish getting dumped in  field gateways is stupid, heaps of building waste, old fridges and carpets etc and the local tip only few miles away, why do it because you can take waste to the tips, they are obviously getting psyed to move it so charge bit more to covet the tip charge

Its a bit of a culmination of circumstances really…..bare with me and I’ll explain.

Years ago, a person used to be able to just drive in the local tip and get rid of their waste, you may have had to slip the tip bloke a tenner but no bother, it was in the right place and and dealt with.

Then you get “waste license’s”…..£300 for the basic version and paperwork for everything.

Then commercial waste sites and public waste sites, when I packed up work 10 years ago commercial waste was £150 ish a ton to get rid of with a minimum charge of 1 ton…..I didn’t have a problem with that, I charged people the right money to do the right thing and if they didn’t want to pay it I didn’t do it……but you can see how a lot of people would just to get the work. 
 

Then in my local public tip they made it so that you couldn’t take a van in, I just so happened to have a van as lots of people do so if I’m clearing a load of junk from my home what am I going to do? Cram it in the family car ? 
Then they made it that you needed all sorts of ID to use the place like it was f***ing Fort Knox !……so anyone who happened to not know this or was from out of area couldn’t use the place  !!

What they going to do?….take the junk home again ?……some will, most won’t !

Then as I’ve said above, the cost of doing the job to the rules, with household and business money squeezed at every turn, I’m not surprised some homeowner lets the bloke who quotes £50 do it rather than the bloke who quotes £250 which is what the job really costs…..that’s the stuff that ends up down the lane ! 
 

Then you add in million of people from absolute shit hole parts of the world.

So what you get is a perfect storm where rules and regulations and taxes made the whole thing worse and you get more than your former share of people who don’t give a shit anyway.

Who can blame the hard up family for bunging the Albanian in his transit £40 quid to clear the garden when the proper waste people need to charge £400 ? 
Who can blame the allotment bloke in his little Astra van for nipping down a side lane when he has been turned away from the local civic amenities and treated like a criminal while he was there because he would turn over multiple forms of ID to a council worker ? 
Government, give them a chance and they will f**k everything up more in their unending quest for more money !

All that said, you will still get total f***ing tramps dumping shit because they are too mean to pay to dump it…..over here you don’t have council tax so you do your own waste one of three ways, you get a contract with dustmen which is about €50 a month, you buy a car ticket for €6 and go to the civic waste place but it all has to be sorted and recycled or you can do your own bins down to the commercial waste place….i personally do the last one and that costs me on average about €4 a week for all my household rubbish.

You can also of course get a skip and a 12 yd is about €280 ?

So, in reality it’s cheap to do the right thing but you still get total arseholes dumping all their shit round the lanes, it’s a big problem and especially as so many places are so rural.

These ain’t foreigners, these are local people who want to save a tenner and would rather f**k up their environment instead…..absolute tramps ! 
So, you can’t discount the shit side of human nature in all this either.
