Marine Netflix

I watched the first episode of that Marine documentary on Netflix last night (US marines !)

I genuinely can’t watch anymore !……..what a bunch of f***ing morons ! 
There will have been some Cossack in Russia watching that, who got raised up in the back arse of nowhere eating cats, thinking “I wonder which roid head I will eat first ?” 
It’s like a sunshine bus excursion with guns ! 
 

A far cry from the 85 Airborne & Royal Irish lads that I watched the other day who were completely cut off, fighting over 700 Taliban back in 2006 in Afghanistan…..calm, professional, not carrying on like a load of teenagers at a pop concert !  

Just having a cup of tea and doing their job to full lethal effect.

Not a patch on our marines...I have been on that base in Lympstone.....by christ that assault cause is some length...would have loved to have had a go on it as a young chap

My oldest lad had a go on the one at Rock Barracks when he was little when we was down visiting Stiff years ago…..then we lost him and some kind paratrooper found him and fetched him back !

My daughter was engaged to an American marine gunnery sergeant who was in the embassy marine guard detachment in Saudi, and she spent some time in Camp Lejuenne in Carolina.

I had many a great night with them in their Brass Eagle Bar at the Embassy, and found them great company and extremely polite and professional, but like all military had that humour that’s particular to the forces. 
They made me an honorary member and I got the T shirt;

All I all, a great bunch of men I’d have back me up any time
