harryshounds 1,587
The shinners will be the big party in the next government, they're new rural base in the South won't have it and in rural strong holds along the border hunting hounds is a way of life. I think it'll die out as the gen zers don't have an interest. Although one real bad incident caught on camera could change things. I think it Ireland hunting not seen as such a class issue as in UK. Ban on hunting was always about attacking the Tory brigade. 7 Quote Link to post

Ban on hunting was always about attacking the Tory brigade. Population out the country increasing as well , grew up out the road from a small village, its practically a suburb of Limerick now. A thousand + who I don't know from Adam-probable antis . Days of walking the road with a spade and bar and a heap of dogs are gone. The social Democrats worry me the most. Could see them and labour also doing well. Quote Link to post
harryshounds 1,587
I can't see it for a few more yrs anyway. Enjoy while we have it. If the Greens couldn't stop it the SDs won't. I'd be more concerned if the shinners were against it, but ya couldn't trust them too much. 1 Quote Link to post

Bonner RIP 10
This vote on the 17th has no chance of going through as both government parties and their independents have said they will vote against it. The interesting ones are Sinn Fein. They formed a coalition of the left to work together against the government to get Catherine Connolly elected as president. They will have seen that if they all work together on the left they can stop the government. All the other parties on the left will vote for this motion to ban hunting on the 17th, will Sinn Fein break ranks and vote with the government??? Or will they want to go against the government as they do on nearly every other issue. If they do vote for the motion to ban hunting you can rest assured John Blair will push to have his bill brought before the Assembly because Sinn Fein can't vote to ban hunting in the South and not in the North. I sincerely hope they do not use hunting just to get at the government but as has been said you can never trust politicians. I think anyone who cares about hunting should write to their local Sinn Fein TD this week urging them to vote against a ban because they really are key to keeping hunting on both sides of the border. You can be sure the anti hunt brigade have been flooding the Shinners inbox so we need to get writing to. Start writing emails before it is to late. Quote Link to post
Fox dog 186
SF cant be trusted we've all ready received emails eg for and against and sitting on the fence, any left winger will vote against hunting, the anti brigade are using forums and fb to destroy the game, clowns feeding their hunger by putting pics up to fuel their ego and di#k measure, theres men with dogs and dog men,we must unite on all fronts from rod to spade hound to gun u name it,they take one they will take all,the toff on the horse image needs to go,in Ireland its a working class group on foot 1 Quote Link to post

They would probably say it's nature at work. Hopefully the foxes eat their kids and sever their fckwit bloodlines, lol. Quote Link to post
