No mate. My Mrs had the operation. 17 grand. I had the money because I worked for years on the boats where we operated  PROFIT SHARING. For some reason you scoff at this method.

The vessel owners became millionaires and  we got a proper, realistic wages.

As you know I recently skippered a boat on a profit sharing basis.

On my last tide, my twin grandsons met me off the tide. They were returning my car which I'd lent them. We went for a curry and a drink and I was able to give them both a surprise five figure sum to go travelling next year. This I had earned over a few months.

They went to comprehensive schools as did my sons. They all went to top unis and got good degrees which got them top jobs. One of my sons went to the same uni as William and Kate. Do you think that would have happened without the comprehensive system? And they all received free tuition. You shouldn't scoff mate. Comps have led to tremendous social mobility since they were introduced.

So you paid 4 times what you had to for something you had already paid all your life for and someone did alright at their exams ?

WILF I’ll be honest from where I’m looking I understand your hatred of foreigners. They are by and large dirty and smelly refuse to work and of course one of them robbed you as a boy and you never forgot. I enjoy a good grudge myself so fair play there. But your view of the government and world looks like they come from someone who has had a very comfortable life probably lucky enough to rub shoulders with abit of wealth and you looked up to those people and I understand that because you never had to give up your bread and watch those people have it all unfairly. When things didn’t go your way in the UK you were lucky enough to be able to up sticks and get away from it all not everyone has that luxury. I can’t expect you to see life from the eyes of somebody who has been punched down at all their lives and who has been done wrong by employers or that state you’ll jus never get it.

Like, you couldn’t be more wrong if you tried but f**k the “poor me” story……it’s precisely because of my circumstances and life Experince that I feel the way I do.

I wasn’t  lucky enough to do f**k all, I worked twice the hours and did 3 times the work of other people..luck didn’t come into it!
