Just make sure it really is an Eu and not a black self being passed off as one.

I had never heard of black self ferrets tbh , just looked them up , , they’re probably what I’m looking for , thanks for your post

Had 2 dark EU polecats once both very skittish compared to the rest of the ferrets and where nearly double to the size

Ferrets worked 100 times better imo.

Just fancy something different tbh mate , not sure of the genetic difference between an eu and a black self ?

The EUs i had where handled the same as all my others from kits. They just never tamed the same like I said very skittish would sit in the nest box all day late afternoon they would an appearance

I wouldn't have another no use for ferreting imo but are impressive to look at

Quite regularly see wild ones here, only last 10 year mind, black as your hat and some of the dog ones are massive. Coming over Watership Down at about 5 - 5.30 am not unommon to see them, either darting into the verge or run over. No idea what they're eating as there certainly ain't the rabbits here that there used to be. Personally I'd stick to ferrets mate ( tried/ tested etc). I get the idea of something different but for me.. my old family of small, skinny little ones do OK. And we got mostly deep chalk earth's here.
