But I was meaning more you and your kids out for a walk with the dog off a lead mate a whippets is like walking a staffy if might have a chase if something catches it eye 

But a saluki cross that's descent you couldn't walk off the lead it's hunting up using its. Nose wants to kill something all the time none stop

 

 

Seen hamsters with more prey drive than saluki …. So If it’s got prey drive it’s the cross coming through … probably a bit of bull x which are commonly crossed in with whippet blood …

The whippets got no bull in it got the papers going back to tiptree dogs over 125 year of lines but she seems game as they come.. also like a saluki X had a few In the past that take more than just hares, like I said horses for courses I like both

You’d be surprised what’s in the mix , papers mean nowt , it’s all about dna . 
But a lot of bull have whippet put in back down the line  . Put that across a one track pony like a saluki and you’ll get something half decent …

I seen vids of the mother of my saluki x pup does more than hares and both parents kill hares on fields and fen so no one trick ponys, If they both make the grade I'd like to put the dog over the bitch but I don't think she could carry them given the size difference..

I’m not clued up on that but ask a vet or someone, i can’t see a problem… I’ve known of an accident collie mating  to jack Russell bitch with 6 healthy pups , went to around collie heights when fully grown .

Should be OK.

Best I ever had was a pure saluki x line bred coursing  dog back to saluki bull whippet grey bitch she could kill them on any land and get stuck into anything f/r
