Soon settle down mate, you got hands full with two pups .

I find 2 ok to deal with kenneled seperate fed separate but I'll walk and bring them on together get them out round cover and that aslong as recall good I'm happy, My last dog didn't live up to expectations, I wanted something older but couldn't find anything, who sells a decent prospect this time of year so thought I'd put my time into 2 pups through the winter until next season.

Nice pal….. I’m pondering a whippet for the kids my daughters 7 now and is getting the dog bug I was about same age

The big dog I’ve got is great in and around the house but a pain in the arse on a walk me and the he kids could enjoy a whippet together far more than another saluki x just getting the right whippet look forward to seeing yours progrwss

Lol like a say a whippet is a pet with not alot a drive

A saluki x is in hunt mode none stop will just cause hassle

If your saluki x is to slow for small land it's just to.slow full stop mate them 2 pups you have speed wise will be similar for hundred yards then the bigger dog will lead

But I was meaning more you and your kids out for a walk with the dog off a lead mate a whippets is like walking a staffy if might have a chase if something catches it eye

But a saluki cross that's descent you couldn't walk off the lead it's hunting up using its. Nose wants to kill something all the time none stop

I get what your saying about the saluki X I had a few before I took a brake from the dogs couple out the dan dog Jamie dog bulldozer franny all high prey drive all quick enough in my eyes but I wouldn't want to lamp that type on little grass paddocks golf courses local and expect to take them to arable land in the day as well, not saying they won't kill but alot of dog for the job that's where the whippet comes in for me good little dog to take my boy out lamping and mooching and Ive seen a few very driven whippets and crosses if they see enough game like any other running breed

You'll soon learn, mate, if Gooey says whippets have very little prey drive etc etc, then he's obviously correct.

Two very nice pups, by the way. 👍

If you ain’t ever saw a whippet with same drive then you ain’t saw very good whippets mate, I had a whippet bitch for a season an had to dig her out 2 earths she went to ground on after chasing a fox haha an another time a mate lost his whippet on lamp an when we found her she had killed a hare about 4 fields away in dark? Next morning when I was walking the terriers we found 3 dead rabbits in same field haha an iv had a whippet stuck to a roe an get dragged through a forest block needing 17 staples in her, she could have let go at anytime, but she was a driven wee thing an refused to haha not all whippets are shite, but more importantly hahaha not all saluki crosses are the dogs folk try make em out to be haha

Everyone has there beliefs but I done and seen enough in the past to know any breed can be driven if bought on and entered right the whippet no exception. Thanks mate 👍

If you've been around alot a lurchers whippets  and a good coursing bred you'd know exactly what I'm trying to say the prey drive is completely different

My little red bitch is like with the roe just not big enough lol

For you to keep on crabbing whippets the way you do, I really don't think you've seen ANY good whippets, Gooey.
