Can't go wrong with Leica can you, but I think I'm going to go with the Diamondbacks, from all the reviews I've read they keep up with some of the premium brands and even beat them, better for the buck, but like anything, the more you spend usually the better you get, £250 is reasonable to me.

I wanted to try the Vortex aswell, but they didn't have any in, so I tried Hawke, think one of the eye cups popped off which was the same issue I had with a pair of Hawke years ago

They had some tidy kit in the London camera exchange Swarovski, and some Nikon that I've heard a wildlife photographer recommending, but they're pricey

Aye, with a good set I could have confirmed if they were eagles or not, it would have been epic if they were.
