It’s gone a bit quiet, so here’s a pic of a working deerhound my pal sent up to Scotland to work with a golden eagle; Cheers.

My mate said he would breed me one if I wanted another lurcher mate,but there’s nothing about except big game.

I know of a very fast whippet greyhound, doesn’t work but killed a deer by accident once lol. Also know a pure greyhound that used to race , now used in the field, Will likely use one of these when the time comes. Unless something else came up

Same round my way ,no rabbits but tons of deer 

The terrier pushed a munty buck out some brambles this morning, the stupid thing tried to run through a sheep fence and got it's head stuck because it's antlers ,I could have knocked it on the head but tied the terrier to a tree and got it free to run for another day ,gyp looked at me in disgust  🤣

Seen um go straight through that fencing like darts ,not the big bucks tho 🤣

He'd have got through if it wasn't for his spikes , luckily he stopped thrashing about when I stretched the wire to free him .,fcuk they can plough through some thick brambles,they tough little fcukers that's for sure ,

To be fair....you could argue similar with salukies...

Why did they add greyhound....or good working lurchers...

As with most of our working dogs adding in other breeds often results in a better animal
