Double up your top rail and heads at your windows and door openings, and if your doing a pitched roof sheet the outer walls in osb so they become load bearing, are you using 4x2 for your studs? 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The door opening header I made a framing lintel mate, two lengths of 175 x 35 with 18 mm OSB Sandwhiched in between. Im going to make the door so I made the opening 1000mm The grains on the lengths of 175 x 35 are turned opposite to each other…..it’s an American framing thing that they do. Theres an extra frame to go in the window opening before the window gos in but I’ve run the load down to the floor. Im sheathing the outer walls in 18mm OSB tomorrow mate then I’ll wrap it in waterproof breathable membrane. Its 4x2 studs and I’ll insulate that, another membrane inside and then cover the walls in T&G 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
