My wife’s made total sense being from Northern Ireland, she was like 40% Nordic, 40% Scot’s and 20 % Irish…..something like that

Mine was 60 % English and narrowed to an extremely small geographical area that I, and as far as I can trace the rest of my family, have lived in since day dot.

Then I was 40% Irish narrowed to one small geographical area in County Cork, when I did name checking it made sense historically when tied in with my family history. 
My grandmothers side, hadn’t really given her maiden name much thought but that’s where it’s traced to and it’s comes from a slang term that was used way, way back in the day for travelling people in that exact area when you cross reference.

1. Did you see Anglo Saxon (Germanic) markers.

For us it was more an idea sat chatting over dinner rather than any deep longing to find this stuff out mate, as in “shall we do that for a laugh ?” And we did and it turned out interesting.

Didnt really pay the government much heed, story of my life ! lol

Which is stating the bleeding obvious. If your family had lived in an area then it's clear that your genetic markers will mostly resemble those in that area. Remember, these results are only going off those that have had the same test as well.
