Not from me mate, I’m not responding to any of that shite anymore as I said.

Some story’s just write themselves

It’s been a tidy conversation amongst lads upto now, lads just chewing the fat, having a laugh and talking about a few mutts……been a long time since I seen anything worth engaging with in the lurcher section so it’s been an enjoyable read, I won’t be looking to f**k it all up.

To be fair it's been a load of bollocks WILF. It's same old shite. Come season a doubt anyone will have time to be travelling about when they've got game on their doorstep. Travelling to prove to someone what your dogs capable of lol. To me it's one of them out of site out of mind. I'm guessing the lads that are really into hunting won't be sat on here.

It’s just different mate, like it’s different hunting the big arable fields in the southern end of England or parts of Scotland to Fell hunting in the lakes.

So, where I live you won’t be having any 100 rabbit nights like Tomo used to have in Yorkshire or you won’t go to places like I used to in North Essex and see 3 or 4 herds of  40 or 50 wild Fallow just grazing away, you won’t see 50 hares in the same field like a place we used to go on the Suffolk border.

This time of year when they had done the cut where used to live you see 12 or 15 foxes on the cut field that night and that was pretty much an urban environment just surrounded by farm land.
There are only 3 species of deer in Ireland, not like the 6 we are lucky enough to have.

Drive off the motorway at Flitwick at night and you will see 3 species of deer just wandering around at the side of the road !

It’s not a criticism, its just a reality…..

I didn’t read any of it as too serious mate, more said in jest than bravado….that was my take on it.

I travelled the length and breadth of the country when I still lived there, had some fun, met some class lads and got to see some class animals in action….i think it’s just good to go and see nice lads who have decent stuff about them, it’s always going to be good.

Nobody cares who has “the best”, there’s too many variables in lads circumstances, terrain they hunt, dogs they keep for it to all mean much…..just good to be out and if a lad has something tidy in his kennel you can only say “Fair play, I’m happy I got to see that in action”

Every day is a school day as they say.

I don't think mine will have mate, he won't leave the Akita alone when out, fur up and lot. He's found a game now, he's started jumping over the Akita after ragging him. Lol
