Pardus 1,609
Does any breed hit as hard as a Mali? I know some protection dogs are almost twice their weight but nothing comes close to the speed of these, the impact is devastating. Far too much for most people. It aint just the physical work they need but the constant mental stimulation.Theres plenty of other breeds out there that will guard just as well. Can bite as hard or even harder.Could take more physical punishment but won't drive you round the twist.

The vids are impressive but let's be honest 90%of blokes aint got time to put the constant training and work in to get them to that level. Also a lot of that stuff has nothing to do with real life situations. Absofuckinlutely... The constant stimulation would kill me, and I believe I put the time in to my dogs.
WataWalloper 3,259
Iv never liked them, never saw a stable one, always loads advertised up this way local, usually about a year old, but haha my daughter who 17 has had a pal since junior school, an the lassies ole man was an army dog handler, meant to have been good at it iv never really spoke to him about it, anyways a while back I was told she was staying at there house whilst they were away an looking after the dog, I wasn’t best Impressed an was actually quite worried about her haha made her put me on speed dial an all sorts haha but she laughed at me, an then next day when she was out with it she brought it over to show us, not sure if it’s a certain liner if it’s his input, or just a one off, but that bitch is a Fcuking cracker, that any dog man would be proud of, an daughter reckons it proper switches on when her or her mate walk it alone, I wouldn’t wanna be the person who pisses it off when it’s with one them tho haha Edited June 21 by WataWalloper
paul sr 923
The biggest mistake people make is getting these dogs from a working line .

But, is there any that can do it all as good as one of them? Obviously, the bigger dogs, Rotties, German Shepherds, Bandogs, will bit harder.

Do all what as good as them?If you mean sprint 100yds and fly through the air, leap through burning hoops etc. That doesn't equate to anything in real life.In fact when I was training I wouldn't even do long sends not that my old girl would have been fussed about chasing someone down anyway. My thing was if someone is running away my dog doesn't need to chase and bite them. And if it does I'm definitely in a world of shit. The point off a pp or guard dog is it should be right next to its owner protecting them or guarding its property not charging off down a field coz someone's waving their arm in the air and cracking a whip
