Thats why you cook it outside in shed lol. Wife wouldnt let me cook it in house when running dogs. Id cook it up in morning then when I'd get back from out on land. Mix it up with sweet potato , veg  carrots and broc , tin of tomatos , I'd go back to shed with pan after dishing it out. The food would be gone by time a got back. Can't do with dogs that play about with the food. That's why your better having two pups the same age.

Nice to see you taking good care of your fur babies. Lol

Dogs will survive on eating most things scraps, raiding out bins, old dead carcasses and the likes and still plod along not a bother cooking their food so they don’t get germs lol all good giving them a good hot meal in the winter when it’s cold  , but your looking to gain that extra few percent in performance when using them for working  beef is the most nutrient dence food you can get for dogs/humans and goats milk you can get the powder sprinkle it on or add to water and make milk from it can use it with adults dogs not just pups , Dogs get their energy from fat not carbs chicken and the likes is all good for protein but is low in fat oversell as the main meal I would always use beef and then add chicken, lamb turkey or kibble ect along side it

all pups are different as well on how much they will eat if it’s at a healthy looking weight and full of energy then it’s perfectly fine.

My mate used to collect fallen stock for a pack of hounds. He reckons he called to a pub on way home one eve with a bullock in the back. Anyway he ends up pulling and takes lass out to van and reckons she was saying she was nice and cosy up against the bullock not knowing what is was in the dark.

Definitely mate. Veg ten a penny , fruit same meat from mc kennels that good you could eat it your self. Some of the steaks that come through from waitrose in the big old bins on wheels lovely meat. Just if the meat drops on the floor its no good. Lol. Dash the c**t off what's up with them. Crazy. Chicken breasts the 10 15 breasts in a pack. Told the lads there get the fuckers re packaged and sell the c**t to public. Lol. Nothing wrong with the meat. When you walk in you can smell the fresh meat smell. Nothing's turned there.

He is eating his raw mince, I've been giving it beef & tripe, 80-10-10 mix. But, I know it's a rough estimate, they say a pup should be eating around 10% of it's bodyweight in raw, when I weighed him last week he was about 6.5kg which means he should be eating around 650g of raw in a day, all dogs are different but he won't have that much, so, I've been putting down a bowl full of kibble that he picks at as and when, I'd rather it be overfed than underfed when a pup.

Pups are like ferrets....as in,the more variety of stuff you get them to eat as a young age ,the more they eat , anytime I've ever had a fussy eater,I would let all the dogs out of their runs and feed them  altogether next to each other...if they picking at food ,then they gonna lose it to another dog...never seen any dog let that happen a 3rd time😁..by the time I've opened the next rum and put the bowl down, the dog next door has finished theirs👍

Salmon heads/scraps whole mackerel, sprats, trout even f***ing dogfish...my dogs smash what evers put in front of em... your over thinking things, would I f**k be buying in certain food just to feed a fussy eater ...if it's in front of them...they will eat it before starving too death lol👍

Used to collect meat straight out of the side door at an abattoir and a few different butchers over the years, even had the food waste from a big mental hospital at one-time... wintertime ain't too bad...any warmth, sun about, and meat spoils in minutes, half HR max....filling 4/6 wheelie bins a time, back of the pick up,and dropping bits off to all the boys...I don't miss the f***ing smell 😬 would rather be benching a manhole, with human logs flying past the chamber....😁

Ended up having to get a waste carriers licence in the end....found that most these companies selling raw, don't really last that long,it's tripled in price from what I was paying 3/4 seasons ago..

Not all, I tried him with some tuna and he wasn't bothered, he's been eating spratts mind, loves them, same as chicken feet.

I've been keeping it consistent with the beef/tripe mince and just keeping some kibble down that the Akita feeds on.

The pup being around and coming on the scene  has actually started making the Akita eat more, the competitive pack mentality must have kicked in. Lol

True that a was paying 6 quid a box with 12 2lb chicken mince. Now a think its about 15 quid at yorkshire raw. Ended up moving to leeds. Then started going to mc kennels in bradford. Same prices are double than what a was paying. But the meat quality is bang on. Do all the kennel disinfectants too. Cherry,  orange , apple , few more. 5 litres for a tenner. Smells bang on too in kennels.

What's always worked for me is feed them for the work they've done not what there going to do by that focus on wet feed and a digestible one before and plough it into em after..

Some food points from lads regards pups I do think people over think it, I to used to do as Steve did ie the fallen stock off the odd farmer I knew just the odd sheep every couple of weeks can't beat it either chop em up n freeze or take the jacket off n hang great if pups on n as said get stocked up on them pheasants either breast them or stand on there legs n skin em feed em that way or put em through through the mincer never had a problem with shot often seeing them left in the bowl dogs are wise..

Kibble n meat n an old reliable option as is old school brown bread fatty meat n veg and stews with this n that is as good as anything..
