they did show live footage from the moon filmed on sstv  (slow scan tv )filmed at ten frames per second ,thats why it looks grainy

because some of the footage was animation before the live footage camera was deployed like the decent  and the  landing

there was no camera on the moon to show there arrival so broadcasters used animation ,models and simulated spacecraft graphics until they deployed the sstv camera which filmed armstrong climbing down the ladder ,Aldrin joining him ,planting the flag and other experiments

So you can understand why people are skeptical then,yes they used animation to start with but then switched lol

well it's common sense that you can't film something until you get there with the camera so that's what buzz aldrin was referring to
