Like the Akita we knew that would come into play ffs lol.

They are the one of the most dog dominant breeds out there, but they don't fight like a Pitbull. Our first Akita was a real danger to other dogs but if they submitted when he tried to assert his dominance they were safe from his attack. A Pitbull wanting to fight will just lock on no questions asked.

Because regular joe shouldn't own a bulldog and game terriers and game  bulls are completely different animals I'm sure theres plenty boys have working bulls but the game bulls are better staying on t

I'd say from the stupid s**t you're writing you don't actually know as much as you think you do.

Iv'e kept and worked terriers of years now ,but not once did i ever enter a terrier into a earth to go fight with it's quarry and i always did my best in not owning a hard dog or if i had one to use i

The APBT started getting imported here in the 80's, the game dogs of the Victorian days weren't even known as the APBT.

Greyhounds were exported  to U.S and Australia at the same  time.  They're  still  greyhounds- not American greyhounds. Game dogs as opposed  to  lookalikes  became  extinct in the U.k ,but people  imported in descendants  of their  grandparents dogs.

True, but what is in a name really, you can't exactly call them the United Kingdom Pitbull Terrier because that would be unfair on the Irish who had a massive impact on the APBT as a lot of the stock came from Ireland.

Pit bull terrier  maybe? Id imagine  the  first ones weren't  taken  over to be fanny  lickers. So they  were already gamedogs before  taken  there. Yanks made a good job of the greyhound also-real durable dogs_ theyd a tradition of not breeding off a dog with less than 100 race starts(but stayers  by irish/u.k standards).

I'm not sure mate, as you say, the dog and it's craft  was basically done & dusted over here, obviously the odd men kept these dogs true to type for a while but they all basically became the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. To some fanciers even the name Pit Bull Terrier wouldn't be apt as some still claim that no Terrier blood was added. The breed has been called several names throughout it's history, I've even seen old adverts calling them Bull Terriers, not to be mistaken for the English Bull Terrier.

Ar, the Rodney gets, that's why I want off nights to be honest because it's terrible for my kip. I got in this morning at half three and was awake at half eight. Plenty of graft lad, you just smash it out like a machine, job & knock, you know the score.

If you guys could walk round any yard a talk to any bull terrier men past or present who would it be??

None could be honest with you if their life depended on it. Lol

It would be Earl Tudor, Colby, Wallace, Boudreaux, Feeley, Carver.

One does usually eventually quit or else they are picked up if the handler knows it can't win and has an ounce of empathy.

As you know, only dead dogs are truly dead game so you can only breed for deep gameness to produce the dead game dogs. I don't know what percentage are curs but on those tight lines, I think not many and way less than scatter bred dogs.

some sense
