Budgie my lads got one never looks after the thing though. Leaves me and his mam to look after it not daft. Canaries are clever birds. My pal breeds budgie. And told me best thing to do if you want them tame. Just keep putting your hand in nest , let parents rear them up. Then come when they leave the nest they'll be half tame already. Saves having to hand rear them. Don’t think they will talk like a budgie but even jist being able to let it out would be cool, we have tamed a few budgies over years an easiest way is food, let em get hungry an hand feed em, always fancies a mule might get him one instead of a budgie haha my mate breeds em not sure what type tho Quote Link to post

Due to them thinking they are human. Don't act like a bird. I had a Harris hawk that every time you went past pen would scream out. Ferrets killed the c**t. One of my Jill's got out. Our lass left dog out in the garden. And with kits at the time in back making loads of noise. Russle opened lock on hutch by nosing it. Would have been differnt if the hawk wasn't on the D perch tethered up. With panic it wrapped its self up. If the bird would have been free flying in pen. The hawk im guessing would have nail the ferret. A don't blame the ferret. Lol. One of them things. But it's head had been eaten. c**t was trying to pull it back to hutch for kits. Put alot of work into that bird too. Quote Link to post
