eastcoast 4,408
Only species of proper shark that I have seen in real life are Blue sharks. Proper by my definition being true predators, Whale and Basking sharks are pathetic sharks, shark vegans almost. Caught plenty dog fish species, love them, but the Blues are beautiful things. Not proper sharks even, not big enough to eat people, but lovely and shark enough to appreciate. On a boat catching them, not swimming with them. And yeah nah fuuck that! Have you seen them Humbolt squid over that way? Couldn’t think of anything worse. I love the sea but…… just nope, I’ll stay onboard the boat thank you. Fishermen going on about mates falling overboard and never seen again….. Nah! Edited to add; think the doc was Baja California/sea of Cortez.
