Communism, repression and helplessness are still a living memory in these countries. I seriously doubt the populations will roll over without a fight, whether the issue is external or internal.

My thoughts exactly. Most countries have experienced invasion, losing wars, revolution, changing borders. Those that have come through that type of tragedy and hardship cherish what they now have. GB, or at least those who have ruled us since the latter half of the 20th century are complacent and have no idea or appreciation of what we had/have and never had the brains or courage to defend it.

A lot of the benefits bill is made up of pensions, housing costs and universal credit. I'm  a pensioner. I'm sorry for living so long lads.

Let's face it a lot of money spent on housing costs goes straight into the pockets of fat cat, greedy landlords who  charge crazy rents.

Universal credit is often paid to people who just can't live on the minimum wage because they have children. Why are wages so low that they have to be subsidised by the state?

Why do the brits obsess about benefits when at least 8 other countries in Europe spend far more on benefits?

And people in the UK are sicker than our European counterparts. We eat cheap , unhealthy food,  and work longer  hours compared to other countries. We also  spend far less on our health service than comparable countries.

It's all deflection. Keep the peasants fighting each other and kicking those below them and the real fraud at government and boardroom level is ignored.

Don't worry about living so long at least you know what the Labour government is you will not forget
