Watching the F1 on my phone but with the women’s Scottish (FA) cup final on tele.., Glasgow City v Rangers in a near empty Hampden Park. Not exaggerating, if the Rangers mens team played the women they’d beat them at least 30-0. The gulf between the two sexes is gargantuan. I don’t think any amount of investment or subsidising will ever bring the women’s game anywhere close to the men’s game. Bless them for trying though.

What annoys me about it though is the way womens football is riding off the back of mens football.....why dont they form their own teams with their own names like men had to......be totally separate from the mens game and have to generate their own funds etc........lets see how long it lasts as as a sport then !!

I listened to a thing yesterday and it said that the Chelsea women’s football team is not owned by Chelsea, same as the London City Lionesses became seperate to Millwall…..I don’t know how many other clubs that’s it true for but I genuinely never knew that, just assumed they were part of the same club.

They have to raise their own funds and find their own investors……weird set up mate.

Just watched Thierry Henry on the Stick To Football YouTube thing, talk about levels !…..the lad is pure class from start to finish.

You could genuinely listen him talk football all day long, Keane, Wrighty, Carra, Scott and Neville hardly said a word….just sat there and listened to the man talk…..well worth a watch for any football lad.

Gullit was good, loved him talking about that old Milan side... but yeah they hardly said a word when Henry talked, if he could get his ideas over what a coach he could become.

I always think it’s not the ideas that’s hard to get over, it’s the mentality to execute those ideas mate…..little things like when he said he played “angry”….not every player will get that.

The women's teams are good PR, but nothing more, no money in it. No one really gives a shit. Not saying it's right, but people only pay for what they want. And that it ain't women playing football. The Emperor's New Clothes falls down when it comes to people paying actual money to see them.
