chartpolski 27,409
Labour were, quite rightly , making the most of the scandal of the Tory’s betting on the date of the election, but call it karma, schardenfruede or whatever you want, it’s come back to bite Labour ! Kevin Craig , a Labour MP candidate, who donated £100,000 to Labour has been caught betting on HIMSELF to lose !! Labour have disowned him and given his donation to charity. It made me smile , as Craig is often on GBNews as the “lefty” on the panel, and comes across as a sneering , arrogant, patronising prick ! It just confirms my opinion that all these politicians and would-be politicians are all the same, untrustworthy b*****ds! Cheers. tatsblisters 10,927
What I can't understand anyone with half a brain who has inside information and can determine that the odds are you will win the bet as I have no problem with anyone fleecing bookies and other gambling organisations why would you be so stupid as to put the bet on yourself when for a few quid you could ask someone else.

Don’t you think that’s a pretty myopic view Wilf? If politicians are to busy lying, cheating , conniving and lining their own pockets, they are not going to put their heads above the parapet and tackle urgent issues like legal and illegal immigration. Everyone of these carpetbaggers need to be exposed and expelled, then we might get the remainder concentrating on the issues that matter most ! Just my opinion , of course. Cheers.

In a place where they are all, clearly, traitors how do you sort out the traitors ?….. The fact they had a bet does not, imho, make them any more or less absolute piles of shit…..they were that anyway, all along, all the time……it’s like sorting at the baddest camp staff at Treblinka ! Distractions imho mate, completely meaningless distractions.

Distractions imho mate, completely meaningless distractions. Simple solution; get rid of them ALL ! Yes, it’s a simple solution, but much harder in practice, but if everyone voted for, say, Reform UK or an independent, it would send shockwaves through the establishment and maybe just usher in some change to our moribund, uniparty system. Immigration IS probably the most important issue today, but everything is linked, cause and effect. As I said, if they are to busy being corrupt and not addressing the pressing issues, expose them and get people in who WILL address the issues. Its in our hands; carry on with the LibLabCon status quo, or vote for change. We have that opportunity next week ! Cheers.
mel b 3,495
This might be a daft question, but , were they winning bets ? , or, just a general punt ?.

All the Tory’s bet on a July election, so they were winning bets. The Labour bloke bet on himself losing at the election next week, so that looks likely to be a winner aswell! Cheers.

jukel123 9,246
Political party manifestos should be decided by asking voters what policies THEY want. Not having piss poor policies FOISTED upon us which leaves us with no real choice. I would guess the majority of voters, left or right, want a world class health and social care system, a world class education system, decent affordable housing and an end to third world roads. The majority want proper training schemes to address Labour shortages instead of never ending immigration, an end to zero_ contract 'disposable' jobs where your employment can be 'terminated' without warning and poltical parties which do OUR bidding and not theirs. These policies are achievable with proper long term planning. In a rich country like ours its not too much to ask. At the moment parties rule from on high and just take the easy options and back handers, which mean we end up screwed every time. I took a similar stance regards the parties at number ten I couldn't care less if they were getting boozed up ... But then Boris tried to change .... Owen Paterson: Boris Johnson backs shake-up of MP standards rules WWW.BBC.CO.UK Tory MP Owen Paterson could see his punishment for... MPs should be whiter than white , no second jobs , no lobbying for big corps or anything non charity.
