These young dogs are a 1/4 Saluki Dodge with 5/8 Grey..they only have 1/8 Bull in them,I guess they aren't too far off being 3/4 Grey 1/4 Saluki & being honest Dodge, they may lack a bit of staying power but they are out of our own dog's & we know what they are capable of doing & what they can't do,I've bought dogs in over the year's out of 'so called world beater's/champions' & all bar one or possibly two have been mediocre at the best,I just don't trust anyone in this game or very very few,99.9% are full of shit & or are happy with mediocre/poor mutts, this internet opened my eyes many years ago Dodge it really did. I'll admit I'm just a part-time hunter these day's but I'll always be honest regarding my dog's,what they do & what they won't do & I'll always be honest about myself. I'm lucky to get out hunting twice weekly these day's but I have 4 lads that all work dog's so my dogs are out several times weekly so they get to see more action than I that's for sure. I've found out over many year's running dog's that a 5/8 or 3/4 bred of pretty much any cross is handy enough where I run so that's what I now run,on a personal note I've only ever seen one genuine half cross that being a Bull x Greyhound that was really good & that was more so on teeth but it could muster a good bag of bunnies too if needed be, second, third generation half crosses are a different thing but personally apart from that one dog called Shane I've never ever seen even a half decent genuine half cross & that's why I'd never own one nor ever have quite simply they just don't do it where I work my dog's,a 3/4 bred well I've seen dozens of excellent worker's so I'd always go that route over a genuine half cross if I needed too. These thing's I currently have & the pups are all 5/8 Grey as is Boots too..if the pups do half as well as them then happy day's..these pups will no doubt outlive me, hopefully I can see them do a bit before father time calls me home,I'm almost 60 now bud so the year's have really crept up on me,still according to this Garmin Fenix watch I wear it reckons my VO2 max info isn't too bad & my fitness age is that of a 46 year old..I'm not sure if that makes me feel any better though as my back, knees, hips, ankles & wrists are all fecked but I'll keep plodding on for as long as I can matey.. 11 Quote Link to post

Well you know how to get the best out of a dog the dogs you was running when you was taking taking me and topper out had no saluki in and they was good at there job and you done well when you tried saluki blood years later that boots was a great dog for you eh one of them pups looks his double I never realised tho boots was 5/8 greyhound I thought he had more saluki when you think topper was around 5/8 saluki that you saw going back a while now that tho I know you probably don't remember well but you don't hear of many saturated greyhound dogs doing all that n for that long 1 Quote Link to post

They are all well bred so we will see how they go 4 Quote Link to post
