Alexanders

Alexanders or Horse Parsley.

I don't know if it's every where in the country but seems to ever where here now. When I was a kid we only saw it near the coast but it has spread inland and is in all the hedge rows and verges. Quite sort after by foragers but we used to call it stink weed as not a nice smell when flowering.

Reminds me of Exeter canal mate, the smell instantly takes me back to sunrise waiting for a bream...thick with it down there... but that is near the Exe estuary so probably fits the "near the coast" comment

Just going over here mate .Leaves all brown and back to frosts …….lol

Notice the lol on the end for any perspective hecklers .
