An old rabbiters lurcher died and a few years later the hunter died too and they met again in the clouds on the other side. They walked for ages until they saw a man in beautiful robes standing at some huge golden gates. The robed man opened the gates and the hunter and dog went to walk through. You are welcome but dogs are not allowed here said the robed guy. The hunter said thanks and turned and kept walking. They came to a set of old rusty gates and a farmer in ragged clothes. Come in mate said the farmer, but what about my dog said the old hunter. Everyone is welcome here mate, bring your lurcher and come in for a beer. The hunter smiled because he knew this must be heaven.
