Ken's Deputy 4,462
Anyone know anything about them, please? Dogs get into my work room, where I keep my bin ..... I know it's a first world problem () however, I'm in and out, often as not with my hands full. I could just do with something on that door. It's not a heavy type of door at all. I could probably jerry rig a weight and pulley. Proper job might be nice though. Thanks

When set to fast closing all the way on a heavy door they slam pretty hard alright. Probably would be a bit overkill.
Ken's Deputy 4,462
Don; I've been looking so closely at practically 'That One', all afternoon. I actually had it in my Amazon basket. In the end though, the diametric reviews forced me to bottle it and come here instead Granted, I was eyeballing a twenty quid one. I see they also go for a ton. My door frame was the killer. Only 1" and a solid fukking wall overhanging it. No wiggle room at all. That's why I could fancy a better built one of the type Scotty shows.

Ken's Deputy 4,462
Just to say; I basically took @robbo at his word and trusted a cheap, generic thing off Amazon. Been on my tool room door ever since. Was fukking easy to install. Probably be capable of closing that door long after I've lost the ability to open it. It's Not the most powerful of things, though I torqued it up pretty much as far as I felt sensible. Nor is that a heavy door. Result is that it gently but, quite quickly, sweeps it closed as I exit. That in itself enough to make me reactively turn and pop the hook on. I never fail to. It never bothers me Given the lightness of the whole rig? I think the big Dog once nosed it open and followed me in there. Small Dogs don't seem to have the where with all to bother. All in all then? Five Stars! It does what it's to be expected to. I've been a happier bunny, ever since getting and fitting it Cheers, all!
