Stavross 13,787 Posted February 23, 2022 Report Share Posted February 23, 2022 Since I got rid of the hatstand escort I’ve been missing having a cheap semi to chuck on the front of the quad, now the hatstand didn’t really like anything under 36g and would jam quite often if using 32’s or something like that, when I go to the shooting show in May I’m going to have a look for a couple of hundred quid knock about, I wasn’t to fussed on another hatstand so was wondering what’s peoples thoughts on fabarm or armsan, any other cheap semi’s to look out for, keep in mind that I’m a lefty ( so suffer from cost racism ) and northern so I’m not made of money Quote Link to post

Stavross 13,787 Posted February 23, 2022 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2022 It never cycled properly from the day I got it, I fixed it by using mini mag to shoot everything I shouldn’t of sold it because it did the job I got it for, I’d definitely have a pump, never had one, I used to shoot with a lad who had a mossy 500 pump and it never failed 1 Quote Link to post

sparky the hunter 69 Posted February 24, 2022 Report Share Posted February 24, 2022 Hi Stav I have just bought a benelli super nova , i can use it with my atec moderator around the farm buildings, its real quiet with subsonic cartridges and it will go up to 3.5 magnums if i ever go goose shooting. It sits on the front of the quad when i go feeding and never misses a beat. No left hand option but the ejection port is so far forward i dont think that would be an issue for you. 2 Quote Link to post

Loads of used pump actions for sale very cheap. I’ve got a benelli supernova and they’re good, but probably one of the most expensive pumps. I’ve also got a mossberg hushpower pump 20 gauge, not the build quality (more agricultural) of the benelli but a good tool. It depends if right side eject bothers you?
