Ken's Deputy 4,462
Just happened to glance out the window, this afternoon? There's a fox, sitting amongst the seed and peanuts I put down on the track, for the birds. Funny as fukk that she's sat there, facing and staring directly at me. Chops smacking away. I say 'she'. It occurred to me to look for a dick. I got the Andy Kelly's and focused for a closer look. Fat and raw looking tits! I'd mentioned to a mate how, beginning of last week, she hadn't shown at feed time. I was guessing she'd whelped and was where ever she's living, in those trees? Maybe I was right. I'm surmising now she's so beat, and hungry, she had to get a break and came out to find what ever she could? Night time trail cam footage just isn't sharp enough. But, I have noticed one fox with a definite belly. Figured that was her. Might try leaving the cam out in day now. Maybe a bit of food. See if I can get her in sharp, daylight.

What about maybe putting a few meat scraps out for her, whenever you knock a curry together mate? Minus the spices like lol
Ken's Deputy 4,462
Actually mate, I have fed them a booster of raw lamb. I think that's how I came to start buying them kibble? Or, was it the other way round? Dunno. Either way, this all started out as just me putting the trail cam out there, one night. Out of boredom and simply wanting to get some use out of it. I saw 'foxes' sniffing round my very gate and decided to 'bait' them for better views. I'd imagine I'd have used meat, as I'd have no kibble here. Certainly no frozen fukking chicks! Then, it just progressed. Now, I buy a box of chicks each month. Six a night. Soaked kibble started as a longer lasting lure. Be a fukking blinder, to buy a ewe and new born lamb. Chain the pair of them out there and film the results. Because, I can absolutely guarantee foxes, the very first night.

Coming from the same spot. And he once hurt his foot. Had a massive limp for some time. Made it easy to keep tabs on him. Granted, he's fine now. But, I tend to use the spots they emerge from as a pointed to who's with who. 1 hour ago, Gypsydog94 said: They won’t touch it if you carry on feeding them. They won't bother to kill a lamb if they're already fed! " Go five miles and tie some sheep up there? It'll be " (Sucks teeth) No, well; It's the Human Scent, see, chief ....? " I honestly reckon I'll see film of a contemporary Thylacine, before I ever see film of a genuinely wild fox attacking and killing a healthy lamb. 1 hour ago, shaaark said: You certainly sound as though you're enjoying supplementing 'your' fox's diet mate. Nice to read I think it's the Trust, mate You get a truly, absolutely natural, wild creature. One that trusts you and even waits for you to appear? Knowing you're very likely the only human they've ever laid eyes on? Frankly? It's fukking Great! I nearly Trod On my little Pied Wagtail, the other day!!! I give him his grated cheese, over the gate? Walking to the gate the other day, not looking where I was going? Happened to look down, just as he darted out from where my foot was heading! Little fukker was running rings around my feet. Even with the dogs bouncing around me! Money can't buy that! 57 minutes ago, DIDO.1 said: Go and find the cubs and get the trail cam on the earth. But, that's far away and the topography means they couldn't even know 'my' foxes are here We do have a deer hunter, comes down close to me. He's not a wanker. Only interested in deer. And I get them here. He's most welcome. Cam on the earth? Crossed my mind. Don't know if I can be arsed, mate. Mean walking down to the trees. Mooching about. Getting over the barbed wire. Crashing about following sign ... I'd be invading Their world, see? Disturbing everything. And I'd be in there, every day and night. setting and retrieving the cam? Naah. Too much like hard work. Fukk that fence! I've thought about it, obviously. But, I figure the cubs will appear, when They're good and ready.

If she stands her ground and defends her lamb whilst young no harm will come. If she fecks off and just leaves it fox will have easy dinner.

Somewhat stands to reason, doesn't it? I actually still have web cam footage of foxes working like pit bulls, tugging at a sheeps head I wired to a stake in the ground. One little bugger finall got the glittering prize, and off they did fukk with it. All on film. Of course; If any lunatic found that skull at an earth? Praise the lord! Absolute Proof that foxes kill sheep! Like; No. That's something your mate read in a Plummer book. I'm dealing in first hand. Clearly observed with my own eyes. All parties present and clearly identified. Preferably on clear, unedited film. " I've seen things you people wouldn't believe."
