70th birthday present.

Recommended Posts

My Dad is 70 on Monday, he's tough to buy for at the best of times, so being a big milestone was a bit harder..

Me ad my brother have booked a days shark fishing out of Looe, it'll be the 3 of us plus my lad and my brothers youngest daughter... stay down there for the night, mid June so the sharks should be in...and the pubs will be open.

First thing I've booked for a year...can't wait

Sounds a cracking birthday present Kev.a few pics of sharks would be great ?

Got out a couple of years back, we had 6 nothing big...Good pic of my lad holding one he caught somewhere...

Got a rib here that has had nothing but engine troubles since we got it, should be ready this spring though... we'll be doing a bit of sharking in it this summer..

I do hope we don't hook a tuna by accident...??

I was pleased to catch a dog fish about 20yrs ago like a mini shark ?

Catching proper sharks must be a serious buzz fair play.. does the carb need a good service..

Bloody dogfish!! Can be a pain mate..

Stripped the engine down and serviced, but when rebuilt the gearing wouldn't engage, my brother had done the service (he's the mechanical one out of us 2) now at the marine yard as its a bit of a job to sort...boats are a constant cost and an occasional pleasure!! Lol

Went out of Plymouth last time mate, was a good day but nothing over 30lb

My cousin came down from Surrey with a group out of Looe and they had a 120lb blue..thats what I'm hoping for!! Lol

Booked top cat, got a good reputation so hoping he gets us on a fish or 2..

My dad will be first on the rod, so hope his is a pup and my lad gets a beast!! Lol

old lad i know spends half of his summer on top cat (im sure its that) and know he's had them over the ton. he was catching herring the other night down the tamar for his summer sharking , recons its second to none as bait.

i like the look of it but cant deal with boats out that distance

My old mate out of Exmouth died 2 weeks ago, Mike Baker, good skipper and a decent fella..

Not so much sharking out of Exmouth mate, this is a trip with a night out after, digs etc...

I took my old man Alderley on a 3 day trip nearly 20 years ago, he's not a keen angler but loves the trip and social...so Exmouth would be a bit low par considering my brother lives there.lol
