Ey up Kev.
I’m good thanks mate. How are you.
yeah I have been out as much as I can fit in.
Been getting some decent whiting (Not everyone’s favourite fish but I love it).
Had them up around the 2lb mark.Plenty of them as well.
Few cod showing in the Camel as well. Some decent ones in the Fowey as well. Been red mullet caught in the Fowey as well up to 2 1/2lb but I can’t catch one of the bloody things.
I’m on a flounder hunt at the minute but I can’t get one above 1-10.
Have you and Fin been out.
We’re currently looking for a new lurcher but it’s like trying to find a unicorn.

I know where there was a few hiding on the Fowey if you are interested mate. Ill happily send you a Google pin, couldn't guarantee they're still there mind

A beautiful place as the sun comes up but was very cold, even the seaweed froze

Coincidentally I was out walking the Moors recently and noticed on my OS map that I was close to the source of the Fowey, so walked on to see it. Quite interesting to see water coming out of the groun

Yeah that would be great mate thanks.
I usually fish the Fowey for other things down near the mouth and in the town areas.
I have tried for flounder up near Golant but didn’t get any.

Think I'll have to pop down and have a look at that ?

The easiest route is park at Jamaica Inn and walk in from that way, your on it almost immediately.

I go from davidstow air strip as it gives a couple of miles gentle uphill warm up before I start running/stumbling falling etc ?

About 6 3/4 been there, got the t-shirt ?

I've got my eyes set on doing minions to davidstow then the six miles of tarmac from there down to here. Roughly 22 miles the route I've mapped out.

Good man, I'll join you if you do it when I'm on my 3 days off?

Cheers, D.

I've always fancied bow fishing, but in the UK we don't really have any suitable fish, unless you fancy eating mullet. I reckon it would be some good crack lamping flounders though
