Farages new party

Recommended Posts

I can agree with the sentiments. The House of Commons is full of career politicians who have never had a proper  job and have no idea on how policies affect ordinary people. They work on models and theories they learned at political college, not real life situations. But look at the candidates who ended up in the Brexit Party. Do we really want to be ruled by idiots like that? Look at many village and town councillors. They are complete self-serving  pillocks.

There is no easy answer. I was saying to the wife yesterday evening; Trump has incited riots resulting in deaths, Bush & Bliar manufactured evidence to support an invasion of Iraq, Johnson has been shown to have lied more than once, Bliar and Macron both pretended to be Socialists yet predominantly brought in right-wing policies, Merkel has manipulated the EU to Germany's benefit, Berlusconi was linked to the Mafia and major Italian businesses. Democracy is broken and bringing out a new party will only make things worse.

I don't know what the answer is, but it isn't another political party.

That’s how it should work mate but I don’t think it is working like that and hadn't for a long while.

Imho what we have is a homogenous group of career socialists dressed up in capitalist democratic camouflage who say they are different but are really the same......it’s broken, totally broken.

As I say, just my humble opinion of course ?

The HoL has been emasculated by the various Parliament Acts since the early 1900's.

Its now simply a debating chamber, it can only scrutinise, delay and advise amendments to a bill.

It can only hold up a bill for up to 12 months, and there's even a Parliament Act that can be used to by-pass the HoL completely.

So, apart from it being a retirement home for failed politicians, a reward for party doners and friends , and a place where 850 of them can collect £300 a day simply for signing in, not even having to attend or participate in any debates, I can't see what the point of it is !

Cheers.

Any politician who openly promotes Tony fckn Blair should be disregarded

Those of us old enough to remember will recall that this is exactly the scenario that Bliar exploited to come to power. Back then the Tories were unelectable because they had become openly corrupt, and Labour were in free fall because of the leadership of Michael Foot and the union's leverage. The Labour Party as was, was basically bankrupt. In stepped Bliar with his 'New Labour' promising socialist policies to fill the gap Labour had left. Behind the scenes all the financial backers who normally supported the Tories switched their support to Bliar as they knew the Tories would not get in. Bliar got into power, sidelined the unions in a way that  Maggie Thatcher could only dream of, cosied up to Rupert Murdoch, Bransom and all and became more right wing than any previous Conservative government.

Macron has done exactly the same in France.

Now Bliar has seen a similar situation in the UK open up and he's wanting to get his greedy nose back in the trough.

Blair and Campbell sat down with Murdoch years in advance of that election.

Have you read Blairs autobiography mate ?
I found it brilliant and chilling in equal measure and if ever there was an argument for PR in the U.K. that’s it !

I have read Bliar's biography. That is like his autobiography but without the lies.  ?

The whole system is broke. Mayors, Crime Commissioners, local and national politicians are overwhelmingly bent. The problem is that the aftermath of every revolution resulted in the ordinary people being ruled by the same types of people who they overthrew.
