Don't underestimate the security services. They are foiling attacks all the time.

If only the politicians had the balls to back the military and security services more, we would be a lot safer !

Cheers.

A lad I used to play football with was Anti Terrorist Squad, stress was unbelievable and they were at it all the time.

He said they often only get their information last minute and have to react very quickly to lots of stuff

Thanks wilf, I'll look it up later.

I hope they told the truth on it, what cause the famine and why, and not the tripe of failed potatoe crops.

I have a good idea what went on.

Some thing we were taught, at home and in school about.  Pure genocide/ethnic cleansing,

That small field across from my gate has bodies in  it from the famine, not because the lack of food, because it was take off them.

Back behind the village, the British brought in protestant missionaries, the bulit a church, and a soup kitchen. If the people converted they would be fed.

So much for Christian love and teachings LOL, my way or die LOL

Souperism was a phenomenon of the Irish Great Famine. Protestant Bible societies set up schools in which starving children were fed, on the condition of receiving Protestant religious instruction at the same time. Its practitioners were reviled by the Catholic families who had to choose between Protestantism and starvation.[1][2] People who converted for food were known as "soupers", "jumpers", and "cat breacs".[3] In the words of their peers, they "took the soup".[4][5] Although souperism was a rare phenomenon, it had a lasting effect on the popular memory of the Famine. It blemished the relief work by Protestants who gave aid without proselytising, and the rumour of souperism may have discouraged starving Catholics from attending soup kitchens for fear of betraying their faith.[6][7]

Interesting, that !

Muslims are told in the Koran that it's OK to deny their faith to avoid death or punishment, as lying to an "unbeliever" isn't really lying , and they wouldn't be abandoning their faith.

Cheers.

I know it's a terrible thing I'm going to say, but I'm surprised that they haven't up their level of terror campaigns yet, more violent attacks, bombings shootings ect

In case you've missed my point, Jetro? This is just Todays little window on the advent calendar. It kicked off yesterday:

I wonder what tomorrow may bring?

I didn't really know what you meant by trier Germany, and didn't want to ask.

I get it now..

Hopefully tomorrow will bring nothing or for a good while again, I know it's  pointless saying never again, because we all know is going to happen at some stage.

Lager parts of the country had these missionaries and their soup kitchens.

Unbelievable what was done then, imagine the things that happened, but was never recorded.

The like of the mud crawlers.

When the coal ships came from Wales to cork with their coal shipments, they'd take starving irish back to Wales.  The British and Welsh got fed up of this, so made it law, no more ferrying passengers. But the captains still took them on board, sail into Wales on low water, up the estuaries and tell the people to jump over and crawl across the mud flats to dry land. Many didn't make it

I fully agree with you,  the same goes for pedos, rapist and hard core drug dealers and murders, but it won't happen.

The money saved would do wonders for the health system, or education system.

The more the human race progresses, the harder it makes things for its self
