Avian flu

Recommended Posts

I got an email from BASC yesterday to say that this is now upon us, the details of which are here.

https://basc.org.uk/avian-influenza/?utm_source=BASC+Email+Newsletter&utm_campaign=df43d056fa-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_09_25_10_14_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_14fa71dd8e-df43d056fa-243372

We have now stopped all shooting on our chicken perm and keeping our distance. Some recommendations for reared birds are listed in the email which may be of interest and a map showing the areas worst sffected.

Avian flu has been found at Slimbridge wildfowl and wetlands trust . Migrating birds have brought it in and some have died . There might need to be a cull .
I will volunteer my services, I’ve always wanted to be let loose in there with a shotgun.
