philpot 5,115
I got an email from BASC yesterday to say that this is now upon us, the details of which are here. https://basc.org.uk/avian-influenza/?utm_source=BASC+Email+Newsletter&utm_campaign=df43d056fa-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_09_25_10_14_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_14fa71dd8e-df43d056fa-243372 We have now stopped all shooting on our chicken perm and keeping our distance. Some recommendations for reared birds are listed in the email which may be of interest and a map showing the areas worst sffected. Phil 1 Quote Link to post
Sausagedog 7,381
Avian flu keeps popping around the country on intensive farms. Especially after migratory birds pass over. 1 Quote Link to post

Rabid 1,936
It’s been rife for weeks, as I am a registered poultry keeper I get regular updates from apha and I’ve been getting confirmed cases for at least a month now 1 Quote Link to post

shovel leaner 7,650
Avian flu has been found at Slimbridge wildfowl and wetlands trust . Migrating birds have brought it in and some have died . There might need to be a cull . I will volunteer my services, I’ve always wanted to be let loose in there with a shotgun. 2 Quote Link to post
