I'm in Exeter mate, always followed Man Utd since a kid... but played football up until a few years back so weekends were taking up with that..

Exeter are a big rugby town mate, Chiefs are European and Premiership champions this year, great for the area and a lot of money is going in through the club, I'm not a big rugby fan but enjoy the odd day out up.there and will watch the odd game... my business partner is a mad keen rugby man and his young lad has just came 2nd in the country at a academies kicking competion..good chance he'll go pro, he strikes a rugby ball like Beckham did a football.. very talented

That's only because they haven't got a football team

I would start an online Plymouth vs Exeter rivalry..

But cant be f****d, marrying a Plymouth girl means I've 3 brother in laws and a father in law who try all that carry on....lol

Do either of the Bristol  clubs get much support from folk in Exeter/Plymouth way ?.....or even Bournemouth going in the other direction ?

They can only be what 60 odd miles away.....i think its great to follow your local clubs however small they are but still probably nice occasionally to see the bigger clubs/grounds etc ?

I know a lot of Irish lads follow some of the big English clubs as well as their own local sides for the same reason.

They pretty much only follow English clubs mate, it’s all Utd, Liverpool, City and Chelsea in that order.......I always give out an audible groan of “Oh my god” when I see them sporting the shirt and cracking on like died in the wool scousers blah blah blah

Meanwhile their domestic game is dying on its feet, they want to have a f***ing word with themselves
Oh, forgot obviously Celtic and you get the odd Villa and Wolves fan ???? Don’t ask me ?‍♂️

I can only suppose it’s because domestically football has no relevance compared to Gealic mate.

They would be home and away to the village Gealic team

I lived in Bristol as a kid and my best mate was a UTD fan, his Dad was mad for them.. Jesper Olsen, Brian Robson, Paul McGrath time... so that's the way I went...my dad wasnt about and I think them supporting UTD led me along that way...

I've probably played on Citys pitch more times than I've watched them, got a few mates that go all the time but I was always playing so no time for watching..

Paul McGrath does curry sauce adverts on the telly here now and at the end he says “ohh ahh” and I don’t care who you are you have to say “Paul McGrath” out loud.....family must think I’m mental ! Lol

He did an interview on the telly here with a bloke called Tommy Tiernan, it’s very moving mate.

The bloke comes across fragile as f**k in it, worth finding on YouTube if it’s there......what a nice, shy bloke he is.
