My mate has an FX Crown sitting in the gunshop at present waiting for his FAC back , it's running at 72 ft/lb so will be interesting to see how it performs as he will be pushing it to the limit. What is your impact running at and what ranges can you comfortably take rabbits. mines .25 and I use 34gn pellets, its doing about 880fps at 56ftlb its still doing 20ftlb at 200yards. 50 yard zero 100 yards no problem and if the weathers calm 150yard is not a problem, if I could put vids on here without having to do it via YouTube I would cos people dont believe it! besides that theres and agreement that I dont post what I do with it or ill get kicked off Quote Link to post

Versatile and cheap to run, I just picked some of these up yesterday. Yerr, they’re high velocity and solid, but at £2:95 a box......can’t complain, they’ll do a job, and for peanuts Awesome. That's 30years back prices! How they shoot? Announcement! I'm about to put a variation in for another 22. I'm missing it already! Just going get a cheap thing to do up. 2 2 Quote Link to post

He said it will still be doing around 28 ft/LB at 200 yds so still enough energy for a rabbit. Cant wait to see it perform. Quote Link to post

I'm not sure but to get the best out of them, I think you need a specific barrel designed for slugs. That said, as you say, they've been using them to over 200yds and I believe the slugs carry far more energy at range than the pellets, probably due to weight and aerodynamics. Quote Link to post
Sausagedog 7,381
Why are they called hybrid. Can't they reproduce? I was watching slug sex the other day, disgusting! 1 Quote Link to post
