Meece 1,958
Yesterday we went into town and the odd one was wearing a mask, a few had a mask slung around their neck and a few people were carrying a mask but 99% didn't wear or have visible evidence of a mask. We went into two estate agents and a solicitors and they all said we're claßed as offices so you don't have to wear a mask unless you want to. It's blooming hot, wet and uncomfortable wearing a mask and I wouldnt be surprised if there wasn't problems with chest infectionsl
eastcoast 4,543
I don't know if wearing a mask protects a person from the virus but I cannot see it doing any harm. Hopefully a relatively short term problem that we are all trying to deal with at the moment. Cannot see the problem with putting it on but I'm not surprised by the reluctance of people to wear one. Silica dust, created when drilling or cutting brick, breeze block, concrete etc. has been proved to be hazardous if breathed in. Causes silicosis that was called black lung in coal mining communities not too long ago. This is a proven thing. Give the lads tool box talks, get them face fit tested, give them the best RPE available and some will still not wear them until it becomes a "disciplinary matter". FFS lads, just trying to stop you dying too young. Asbestos was not banned in the UK until 1999.
eastcoast 4,543
Why is it always "run to the hills" ? The people living on the hills are in a very good defensive position. I say run to the sea and have a beach party until the drink runs out. Then go for a swim.

It killed our old, it killed the weak, it took our fun for its own need. We washed our hands, we washed them well, nevertheless it gave us hell. Too many ill, we bent the knee. Oh will we ever be set free? Run to the hills, run for your lives, run to the hills, run for your lives!! It might cause trouble and strife. But it may well save your life. Is it too much to ask? To wear a god damn face mask! Edited July 26, 2020 by Greb147
