Sausagedog 7,381
Well it's been a lousy day! I work four 10hr days and look forward to Friday. I spend time with my granddaughter and get a walk in but this morning I was fatigued and stressed. The foreman at work is a complete @$$ and likes to wind me up. Any way he got to me.... again! Eventually I motivated my self and got going. I thought I will go and check the crops for rabbit damage but chose not to take a rifle. I've shot them 22's enough lately due to losing confidence in my rifleman skills but have had a nagging desire to take my 45 long rifle out. It was funny really. All the worry about my shooting abilities and I never worry when I go out with this 45 muzzleloader. I could eat well off this thing for sure! First shot 25y. 25y yes only but I was on the high ground behind and in this strong wind we have today. Next shot was 48 good strides off hand. The third and final shot today was a squirrel, it shot out of the wheat but stopped and turned to look at me. I was convinced it was going to attack so I stayed calm, settled the sights and squeezed the trigger. It was the close combat distance of 7y! Feel better now . Good sceanary, no one about, wildlife, bliss 11 1 Quote Link to post
Stavross 18,573
Cracking pictures and a lovely looking front stuffer, it’s great to see people like yourself still putting them to good use, unlike me who is obsessed with new modern plastic rifles, well it’s up to the shoot for me now to check the traps and hopefully bash a few hoppers and maybe a ginger, wish me luck 2 Quote Link to post

Sausagedog 7,381
Shame non of you are here! As the annoying chefs on the crap cooking TV say, " it's so good". Meat marinated in tirriyakki sauce. Then fried with some smoked bacon. Potatoes, peppers , rice, salt and pepper added. 7 Quote Link to post
