Rimfire scope advice?

Looking for some advice on a new scope for a Turbo 22 LR bench rifle. I've narrowed down between the new NF 42x or the Leupold comp 35x or a 40x scope. The sole purpose is to use for dual benchrest shooting with this new rifle and my 6 PPC

In my opinion bushnell engage 3-9x40mm is the best scope for the money on 22 LR. It has a great review from here: https://ioutdoorpursuit.com/rimfire-scope/. I use one for 50 to 300 yard competition center fire and rimfire and under $200 anywhere

This subject has been covered numerous times on here. I never agree with any of the General choices that people come up with. The usual choice is a big  multi  power zoom.  If it is a 22lr then the best choice is a fixed power scope.  Unless you are spending serious money then the majority of zoom scopes don't hold a good zero when zoomed. You get better glass for the money with a fixed power. 6X is more than enough magnification for ranges covered by the 22lr. Big mag is hard to hold on target, has small fields of view AND  it ain't as if your shooting fleas off of the back of a dog ten miles away. ... still it's  your money and your choice. I know what works for me. I use a Leupold 6x42.

I shoot on 6 x with .22 , may be 8x on HMR

When I'm not using NV I use a 6x42 on my 22LR. My "garden" 10/22 has a 4x32 on.

Is that the “garden”10/22 with my “garden gate hinge” on the (folding) stock?

Because you mentioned your home made folding stock some time ago now. And as this coincided with my garden gate hinge going missing......well, I put two and two together
