As for eating out, here in the North West, near Southport, is a family run restaurant that offers excellent local British fayre.

Master McGraths, named after the famous greyhound. It's owner was a serious coursing man before the ban and themed the decor with that in mind... Even without the coursing/hunting theme it'd still be my fave restauraunt, the food is very good.

If your anywhere near at any time, go check it out and keep an eye out to the right of the front door, a plaque, dedicated to the memory of The Captain, Willy Tough...

No mate, I don’t kill anything myself.

You have to have it done by a proper place mate and to be honest I’m not so sure I could be f****d about with dealing with all the innards of a fully grown cow or pig even if I was allowed.

But, yes all for our own freezer, I do not sell any of it, give a bit away and that’s it.

Four seasons duck on the bone  is the best by far they got four restaurants  3 in Chinatown best one is in Gerrard st. Get there early  the place  is very busy , can get 90deep 5 mins before openening  time ,  it’s on the must visit list from everyone from Hong Kong Singapore and Malaysia its that good  tbh if your going leave room for the crispy belly pork   if you need any help let me know I’m 40 mins away  will add you got sheekys oyster bar just off Leicester sq going into Covent Garden it’s London’s oldest oyster bar serving up quality shellfish place is top notch

Chinese New Year coming up thats the only time i venture through Chinatown for grub these days i think thats when they cook the extra special rats.....and the costumes/drum banging caper is entertaining but then im lucky i dont have much sense of smell

Should give four seasons a try bud if you like duck but if you like gizzards and internals then hungs in wardour st have got the couldron of tripe noses feet n tongues going 24 /7  beef brisket noodle soup in a broth of  all kinds warms the soul in the morning . . Hungs was a fave of coursing fan Clarissa Dickinson Wright and she loved a bit grub being one half of the two fat ladies

Not for me mate the very occasional time i,ll eat Chinese i keep it simple.....as a younger man for a few years i worked round the corner in Leicester Square of an evening and would walk through Chinatown to get to my motor in the early hours and see the devastation they would leave.....very unclean in their habits it was then i decided to give their grub a wide berth

I think it’s moved on a bit from yrs back don’t get me wrong hungs in wardour st closed a while back  because of cock roach infestation I thought the crunch in my noodle soup was unique lol

Yep, Chinese & Indians are all the same and so are most foreign joints but it eats pretty well and I suppose if you was out there in them countries it wouldn’t exactly be health and safety ! Lol 

But, then again I don’t like hung game going green and tasting high as a kite and most beef you eat is a couple of weeks old.

End of the day, I think if you like it and it tastes nice and you ain’t dropping dead you’ll eat almost anything.....

My kids (and it seems almost everyone else in the world) love yogurt and just the smell makes me want to heave ?........foods a very personal thing.

Always tag and slap mark mate, you have to be chapter and verse with live stock over here.

The local butcher is cheaper for my cattle, I think the last two he charged me €200 for the pair and that butchered into cuts, steaks, burgers, sausage and mince etc but he has a license to slaughter on his premises.

About the same for a pig in england but thats a deal on the cattle.always best to slap mark, it doesn't come off.

My old man would cook and eat anything, never gave a f**k.

Squirrels, mouldy bread, mushroom out of the field, cake......anything.
I think he just liked winding us all up with the grottier stuff.

Still, he spent 5 years in a POW camp called Stalag VIIIb and used to get locked in a box in the ground for 10 days at a stretch for stealing potato peelings and rotten food out of the bin so they didn’t starve so he took a very different view of things........when you are in the nick with a hundred thousand other blokes who also all want to live I suppose you get less fussy.
