I eat a fair bit of venison in all sorts of ways and I rate hare too (hardly ever bother them in the field mind). I don't particularly rate pheasant, it's sort of dice up for pies or sausage roll materiel imo. But mallard, god that is a beautiful bird! Top class sport and top class eating. And farmed duck is quite possibly my favourite meat...

They're beautiful fried in butter. I should have kept the livers but it was too much of a f**k around in the dark. The gizzards are supposed to be good too I believe. I think thats brilliant having the knowledge and confidence to do that....some of you hardcore hunters will probably laugh but ive only recently learned how to prepare a rabbit for the table and it gave me so much pleasure to actually eat something i caught....i dont suppose theres too much difference whatever the animal but it certainly tasted better, mind you the fact i gave them to a shit hot chef to cook might of played a part 4

It's so fulfilling being able to harvest and process what you have hunted. But more than that, doing it with knowledge and skill. The little tips and tricks you learn one way or another to make the finished product the best it can be. Everyday is a school day in this game, I love it. It's a ball ache having a load of game to do when you have left it until darkness or it's started raining etc but it wouldn't feel right relying on someone else's skills to finish a job that I started and am so passionate about. Fair play mate. 3

I've got that Tunisia/north African place Azou, on my list. Couple of Italians in and around the city, so I'm ok for foreign muck lol Basically I'll try anything, so any suggestions will work. Fish and seafood is always a priority of mine I'm gonna hit the Peking duck place too. I think it was green who posted it, on one of his food trips.

You won't be disappointed. https://www.elnacionalbcn.com/en/

kanny 21,759
I do enjoy going out for a scran but like whats been said sometimes you think I could have done better myself...two of my favourite eating experiences was in Mexico one was a Brazilian steak restaurant where the waiter would visit your table periodically holding like a big skewer vertically that was stacked with fillet steaks the top end was rare the bottom was well done and you picked your preferred steak and the carved it of for you the other was a Japanese restaurant where you all sit round the chef and he flicks food into your open mouths and never misses not once ,great food and great food theatre. Vids give you a idea...

Japs know how to cook serve a proper bit of fish / beef it’s a different level on a hibachi grill even there knives to cut and serve fish and beef best most others , can’t be arsed with most restaurants serving poor cooked and sourced food , nothing worse than sitting eating and paying good money for something you know you could cook better ya self Edited November 6, 2019 by green lurchers
WILF 51,425
One of the strange anomalies in a country like this devoted to agriculture is that almost nobody eats their own product !......to me, it’s crazy. They would rather sell the cow and buy beef at the supermarket !! I just think that’s mental !
