ive tried that chaff and 1 of those black photo film canisters with some pellets in.but they aint very loud and the noise is coming directly from me.

i would like to have that sound coming from a hedgerow etc where i can be hidden 30yds away.

its just to much hassle for me to be honest chaff.carting a cage about or larsen etc.

magpie call fox call etc all in 1 that would suit me fine.in the rucksack with it job done.

Only about 9 month youngster caught in a Larson hand fed and just went tame could whistle him up jackdaws are easier and you can teach them to talk

You could just put a Magpie ring tone on your phone, I know a few lads who have done this, just for taking photos of course . hth
