I bought Andrew James make meat grinder for 100 quid a few year ago and had no problem mincing venison or pig. It is 1800 watt. The wattage is the key because lower powered motors just choke up with strings of fat. I had a few weaker models from Lidl (700 watt if I remember correctly)and they would do lean meat but as soon as fatty meat went in they fell to bits from lack of power. For £240 you would probably pick up a much higher quality butcher shop model second hand that might cost £1000 new. Most are 3 phase electric though commercial and top ones would be £3000 new. Anything stainless steel isn't cheap as you would probably know been a butcher. Value for money if only doing 3 or 4 animals per year then have a look at the 1800 watt Andrew James meat grinder. It's plastic body which greatly reduces cost but has stainless auger and hopper. Again the strength of motor is key or it will just chew up o rings under pressure if your mincing a big old fallow stag with an inch of fat on his ass.

Ive got a old hobart and put some shift in on it putting everything threw it but now its easier going to greyshill and getting dog meat rather than spending a morning mincing meat then mixing it and freezing it
