First time lamping for a while

Recommended Posts

I've been dying to get out for quite a while using the lamp but we've had either unbelievably windy Weather or it's been tipping it down so tonight was the first time I've been out with the lamp for a few months now.

It was one of those lucky lamping sessions where the rabbits hang around just long enough for you to get the shot off comfortably.

Having said that i did stalk one across 3 boggy fields before he finally made off through a creep and onto private land.....next time bugs!

The 99 that Si sent over earlier this year has probably only just bedded in. Its climbed to 11.6 with AA field diablos yet it still shoots lovely and sweet. Not jumpy at all?

These two were taken at approximately 30 yards a piece so bang on zero. One head and one heart and lung as he wouldn't put his head up for long enough but did show me his armpit so down he went?

Its just a bit of a pain not being able to use the pressure pad on the stock pal. It makes me grip the fore end too tight so i just use the push button on the lamp. It works well enough??

Howd you get on?

Nice shooting Matt , I don’t regret many things in life but getting rid of the imp is defiantly one of them. I’m in the market for a 99s and I might even have crack at tuning it.

Well i dont know what this one was like out of the box but Si fettled it and its shoots lovely and sweet. Ive read the .22 is even sweeter but i like .177 in a springer pal??

Cheers Mark, without starting yet another which is best war.......its every bit as accurate as any of my tx's and the custom 80 i sold?.

Maybe its slightly less forgiving due to its weight but once you compensate for that your on a winner??

Nice Matt ,everybody should have a 99 in the gum rack if they can . Cheap little under rated guns which will keep up with most spring guns

They are pal. This bloody loves AA field diablos. So much so that i dont think ive even tried anything else through it. No point??
