My son passed his driving test when he was 17. We bought him an old banger as a present, but the insurance on it was over £4000. My mrs used the car and he didn't drive for the first year after passing. The second year it had gone down to £1500 which he paid, despite it being 3 times the value of the car.

Mr brother in law lives in Ireland and said what a joke the prices are there.

Love the classic insurance, series 3 landrover £100 a year, 200bhp Saab aero turbo under £300 a year and for anyone looking to cut van insurance simply fit a bed and register as a camper, ✌️

It takes a lot more than just a bed to register a van as a camper.
