Around here most people don't want herds of kids and their wayward parents keep knocking the door and either lock the gates or block off the entrances with the bins. There a woman down the road got BIG signs up stating that the pack of dogs that you wind up will be let out if you ring the doorbell. When I went round with the parish magazine delivery the other day I made sure to give the letterbox a good clattering. The pack was going mental inside and she was hollering to her other half to F the kids OFF. If over there weed is available I don't think that I would be out dressed like that for fear of someone giving it a barrel. When the local kids come round for some treats but it is another when you've got gangs of teenagers frightening the carp out of old biddies. Still it's only once a year for a few days. It's almost back to years ago when you were only seen by appointment and there was a sign outside no hawkers, pedlars or company reps. They get in there car, go to where they are going, come back , get out the car and go inside. Most don't speak to a neighbour ever. A bloke that I know over the road is a black crabby in London and he says its the same in the cab. The customers rarely talk to him, they are on their phone or pad, laptop ect. He does get quite a few escorts going to hotels ect. One gave him a sort of notebook and he used it for a receipt pad. One day some high ranking clergy asked for a receipt which he gave.
