He's just about getting into shape now got a few more farms on the list now so should be a good season. Fairly sure he stopped growing now he's settled at just over 24 perfect size for me and the ground I work. Your bitch is looking really good to bud hope the season is good and injury free

Bang on size not to big not to small I’m sure your have some fun with him he’s looking well mate he looks the part hope he serves you well this season . Excellent news mate the more land the better mate?????? I’ve managed to pick up 2 more bits of permission one on a large  arible land (I used to poach a bit of it haha) an the other on a sheep farm god knows how I managed it between me an my mate we have plenty to go at this season with having to look over our shoulders to much but habits die hard we’re still be at the old poach. Cheers mate she ain’t looking to bad she’s a pretty solid little bitch it’s took me a lot of dedication to get her fit with work, family life an all that but I’m committed after the old bitch damaging her self I blame my self for not having her in full fitness for her injury so don’t want the same mistake again the young bitch had one foot injury so far but not bad but it was completely my fault being reckless letting her free run on unforgiving land when I know gears about she lightly nocked a toe but luckily no real damage done but like your self hitching to get the season under way

Some little are like that you would never say some of the pups are litter brother and sister

Definitely mate I think it’s because there’s so much in there because I out cross to a bedlington greyhound it didn’t know what way to throw so the litter thrown all sorts I know with the dams line if I bred back in to the same line they would all throw typey pups that are pretty uniformed but I wanted a bit of terrier blood in there as I gel with that type better

I've been lucky so far I thought he'd broke his shoulder one day he ran into a tree but abit of rubbing and stretching he was off again within 5 mins but again my fault letting him go mad in woodland. I'm off out tonight on some new ground so see what that holds I'm told it's good some lads went with guns and had 23 bunnys in 2hours the farmer tells me but never know with them always get told there's loads on the ground and there never is

Yeah definitely when there is so much in the make up of the dogs with different breeding I think the pups can all throw back to each different one dogs on this thread are a credit to the lads that own them fair play boys

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect

Hi to all, so I've never owned a whippet before and have encountered an irritating habit that got worse in the last month of ferreting and was wondering if anyone out there has had success minimising noise during ferreting?
So he runs prey silently, almost never barks at home so I was very happy going into his first winter, but.... when the ferret slot machine is not paying out fast enough for his liking he yips at the holes he senses are near the underground action. On top of that, if he runs a bolted rabbit to ground again he persistently barks at the hole while constantly looking at me as if to say "get them ferrets over here mate, I've got one for you"
I've a very experienced collie lurcher who is a dream to ferret with but the whippet seems to make no reference to the good stuff he does. Any ideas on managing this?

      Evening all,
I'm lucky enough to have first pick from a friends litter. He’s crossed his Saluki dog with his Collie Bull GH bitch. I’ve only seen videos of the litter as he’s based in UK. Few different characters in the litter, some sit reluctant off in the back ground others play among themselves two are incredibly forward one more than the other.

What key things do you look for when picking a litter? I’ve mostly ran mine on rabbits, reds and some others.

      Go stead,
      oshea
